The Internet provides accuracy, productivity, and possibilities that would be devastating if suddenly missing. Because of man’s resiliency, I don’t think that we would experience Armageddon if the Internet stopped. I do believe our world would become larger for a while. The miles shortened by email would lengthen due to postage delivery. The nanosecond returns to a minute, and memory would be placed back in photo albums and diaries. All changes would be temporary until necessity, and personal desire would lead the way to new technology. In the end, one truth stands; with technology comes great responsibility. I read Paul and Palestinian Judaism in undergrad for my Honors Research project so I will include what I understand E.P. Sanders to be claiming. I wish our assigned reading was more extensive in order to get at the heart of his claim for covenantal nomism. Nevertheless, our assigned readings reveals the systemic anti-Judaism which is prevalent within our 19th and early 20th century scholarship. The claim of Judaism being a works-based religious system is prevalent and echoes the Protestant critique of Roman Catholicism. It appears that segments of Christianity have alienated and demonized those they do not understand. I am thankful for Sanders and his attempts to revert some of Christianity’s blights. E.P. Sanders is an expert on second-temple Judaism. Paul and Palestinian Judaism argues that Judaism was not a legalistic, works-based-moral-righteousness, but rather a faith based on the grace of their creator God (Sanders, 32). The IV Ezra documents grasp Paul’s context and a renewed understanding of God’s covenant-which was given to Abraham for all of Israel. It’s indescribable how happy that makes her. We bring her favorite dish and pastry. At the dinner table we take turns to express our gratitude and I love for my mom. Throughout the night we gathered up and see her open the gift and read the card her grandkids made for her. Every year is a blessing to be able to enjoy that moment. My second favorite family get together is our pumpkin carving contest. We came up with this tradition couple of years ago. Teams are formed by family and their kids, we help them carve their pumpkin into any character or picture of their choice. To make it fun we give out prices for the winning pumpkin. The children get so involved and become competitive that the competition gets quite interesting. The losers end up cleaning the mess left over from the carving process it became more popular with the kids as they grow older. The competition became more serious. But at the end of the contest everyone goes home with a great carved pumpkins. My third favorite family get together with the New Year’s day. Our family celebrates not only for the upcoming new year But also for the year that ends. The children play throughout the night and the adults just relax, Conversation; Making it seem like we rarely see each other throughout the year. My family only consists of my immediate family. Making it more meaningful, private, and warming. The countdown to the new year is by far the best. We get in spirit, putting on hats, glasses, beads of the upcoming new year numbers. Shows like this do have ratings and warnings at the beginning of the show but they dont really stop any one from watching unless its a small child watching television with there parents. But some television shows have violent images in them and still have a low rating like cartoons have bloody gun filled images and still have a rating of PG or less.
